Join us September 15, 2013 at Limoneira in Santa Paula, CA.
Individual Tickets go on sale August 1st, 2013

Funds raised from the event will directly benefit the introduction of Captain Planet Foundation’s Learning Gardens Program into Ventura County schools and the SEEAG Programs already serving them. The Captain Planet’s Learning Gardens Program encourages educators to consider the school garden as an extension of the traditional classroom rather than an extracurricular activity.

Gardens provide an occasion for learning in every discipline including math, science, health, social studies and language arts. This integrative approach breaks down existing boundaries between disciplines and provides an opportunity for students to apply critical thinking skills in a real world situation.

Studies have shown that this integrative approach can increase student achievement in measures of standardized testing across all disciplines, especially in science.
