about the program

3rd Grade Classes in Santa Barbara County

The SBCCWI online presentation is designed for students to learn about the important role locally grown fruits and vegetables play in their health and well-being. This 45-minute Zoom presentation includes lessons and activities that will teach students about the journey of our food, top crops grown in Santa Barbara County, the food rainbow, and the importance of staying active.

The purpose of the Santa Barbara County Child Wellness Collaborative (SBCCWC) is to gather the knowledge, experiences, and expertise of individuals and organizations in Santa Barbara County who are passionate about and motivated to address issues of child wellness and health equity. Our aim is to bring together stakeholders from various backgrounds to create a dynamic and comprehensive nutrition program for students in some of the county’s most vulnerable regions.
