
MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION TO AGRICULTURE
Module 1 explores the basics of agriculture. This session is designed for students with little to no background in agriculture. Together we will define agricultural terms, explore soil, the parts of a plant, and pollinating insects. We will also discuss the economic importance of crops that are grown in Ventura County in an effort to facilitate an appreciation for where our food comes from.

MODULE 2: PLANT & INSECT SCIENCE
Module 2 takes an in-depth look at plant and insect sciences as they relate to agriculture. This session is designed for students with a basic understanding of agricultural terminology and concepts. Together we will define agricultural terms, explore plant parts, and learn about common pest and beneficial insects found on farms throughout Ventura County in an effort to facilitate an appreciation for the work that goes into growing the food we love.

MODULE 3: SOIL & WATER SCIENCE
Module 3 takes an in-depth look at soil and water sciences as they relate to agriculture. This session is designed for students with a basic understanding of agricultural terminology and concepts. Together we will define agricultural terms related to soil and water sciences, explore components in healthy soil, and get familiar with the process of groundwater extraction. This module will help facilitate an appreciation for scientific methods that are used to help grow our food.
