THE PROMPT
The agriculture industry is entering a new age, facing an increasing need to grow more food with increasingly limited resources and unprecedented challenges. It is important that we start to consider what this will mean in terms of growing our food and fiber well into the future. What growing techniques will we use? What technologies will we engineer? How will we be sustainable? What crops will we rely on in our future world? We encourage you to think critically about these questions and in at least 500 words, express your thoughts and ideas on how we are going to be able to successfully produce enough food and materials to support a population of nearly 10 billion by the year 2050.
